I was very surprised to hear about Native American remains on the Harpeth Hall campus. Before class, while reading the slideshow I believed that this was a made-up class activity. Reading the emails in class and hearing the names of Harpeth Hall officials that I know was shocking. It felt a bit unnerving and sick when I heard of the reburial behind the library. I walk across the grassy area all the time and in middle school, I would stand there during carpool. The history shows that there was Native American officials allowing the reburial but to me, it felt wrong. I feel like we disturbed a burial ground that should be left alone. I also have many questions between the 1987 and 1992 bones and the confusion on main officials in the investigation. Hopefully, all of my questions can be answered soon.
