After finding out about who inhabited this land before Harpeth Hall came to be I found myself really intrigued by the idea of each tribe's differing cultures and rituals.
I also found myself feeling somewhat uneasy and guilty that we don't, in any way, honor the people who were/are buried here. I would really like to do research oriented around funerary rituals in attempts to piece together how Harpeth Hall could honor these Native Americans without being disrespectful. Overall, I think this project is really exciting and I can't wait to get in contact with more people and start piecing this story together even more!
